Jewish Heritage Encounters

Grants of up to £25,000 per year for a maximum of two years are available for initiatives that encourage the study and dissemination of local Jewish history. Successful projects will bring a broad range of individuals together to learn more about their region’s Jewish heritage. Eligible activities include the use of archival, library and museum collections toward community research projects, the collection of historical testimonies, the professional development of heritage staff, and the survey of historic sites and, where possible, the opening up of those sites to the general public. Selected projects will culminate in a specific, planned outcome, such as an exhibition, a community event, a website, an educational workshop, a travel guide or a phone app.
